Terms of use and support

Website access, contributions, donations and annual support.

The PSI service

PostSingularity Institute organises information, starting with videos: Thema classification, summaries, main points, chapters and access to sources. Website access is free; a donation does not purchase access, content, extra votes or editorial priority.

These terms cover website use, contributions and donations. They do not offer goods for sale or a delivery service. Contact details are on the support page .

Read and verify information

Summaries and classifications may contain errors, omissions or debatable interpretations, including when AI assists their production. They do not replace checking the source or obtaining appropriate professional advice. Links to external sources lead to services whose content and availability PSI does not control.

The authors of videos and publications retain rights in their works. Free access to PSI does not mean that all referenced content can be reused without regard to those rights. PSI’s vision presents a subjective analysis, distinguished from the scientific findings it cites.

Contribute

Channel proposals, transcripts and messages are reviewed according to their nature and PSI’s editorial rules. A contribution or vote does not guarantee publication, a processing schedule or a particular result. Guestbook messages appear after moderation.

Only submit content you have the right to share. Avoid private information, unlawful content and infringements of others’ rights. By submitting content for publication, you allow PSI to process and publish it within the scope of that contribution; you retain your rights. Corrections and removal requests can be sent to support.

Automatic sharing of public metadata through PSI Companion depends on the consent selected in the extension. It is independent of donations and can be disabled. The privacy policy describes the relevant processing.

One-time and annual donations

We accept donations from any origin, provided Stripe accepts them.

You choose the amount, available currency and intended allocation before confirming payment with Stripe. The amount and currency shown at payment determine the charge. US dollar equivalents in the funding report are reference values and do not change the amount paid.

A one-time donation is charged once. Annual support renews every year until cancelled, under the terms shown at payment and in the Stripe portal. PSI does not promise a tax benefit.

If a goal is funded beyond its needs or abandoned, the funds will be reallocated to other PSI goals. Goals and cost estimates guide the use of support; they do not guarantee the purchase of a specific machine or a completion date.

Cancellation and refunds

You can manage and cancel annual support in the Stripe portal . Check the effective date before the next renewal. Contact support if you encounter difficulties.

Submit the refund request within 14 days of each payment, including an annual renewal. Keep your Stripe receipt: proof is required for every refund. Submit your request through the refund form , with the email address used for payment, its date, amount, currency and Stripe receipt reference or link.

The refund equals the donation minus only Stripe’s non-returned collection fees and any refund processing fees actually charged. PSI makes no other deduction. The fee breakdown and refund amount are communicated when your request is processed. Stripe refunds the original payment method after PSI initiates it in Stripe. Cancelling future renewals and refunding a past payment are separate actions.

Changes to the service and terms

PSI may evolve and experience interruptions. Changes to these terms are dated on this page; a change does not retroactively remove the refund option offered for a payment already made. Applicable mandatory provisions and your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Subject to mandatory statutory jurisdiction, Gimel (Canton of Vaud, Switzerland) is the exclusive place of jurisdiction; disputes fall within the jurisdiction of the judicial authorities competent for that location. Applicable mandatory provisions, including consumer protections where applicable, remain reserved.
